The studio has been ripped apart and (mostly) put back together, with the iMac and the G4 in their new configurations. The 8600 and the 6500 are in pieces in the living room and the bedroom respectively, and tables and boxes are scattered randomly throughout the apartment as we struggle to find places to put them.
But I'm writing this from the new iMac, and for the moment life is good. Time enough to tackle the rest of the mess tomorrow! We've been up working since 10 am, and after a nice hot bath I'm pretty much done for the night.

Of note about this amazing new machine:
1) The 24" screen is freaking huge, and wonderful to watch movies on (we've already tried it out). It's clear, bright, and of breathtaking resolution.
2) The sound system is LIKE WHOA!
3) The iMac took all of 5 minutes to set up. The Canon Pixma ip4300 printer we got along with it took almost 20 minutes to set up.
4) The iMac, which basically IS the monitor, weighs only about 27 pounds.
5) It actually comes with a remote, which sticks to the side of the monitor magnetically. You can control video, music, and a bunch of other stuff from across the room.
6) It shines, as George put it, "like the light of GOD!"
Tonight George will be installing a bunch of applications on it. (Yes, I admit it: I'm a complete rabbit when it comes to software installation, and he takes to it much more easily than I do.) Tomorrow, the world!
