I managed to get quite a bit done yesterday. Things started off with an email from my Hardy Boys editor, informing me that there are 23 more pages up on the server -- apparently they dumped their regular artist for pooching the deadlines consistently and have decided to go with someone else. The art looks SO much like the previous artist that I honestly can't tell if the pages are from a) the previous artist himself, or b) the new artist aping the previous artist's style to perfection. In any case... yeah. Work in the house.
Then off to DBT. The usual soul-baring and hard work. I had a meeting before the session with my nurse, who confirmed that I'll be in the program for at least another 6-8 weeks.
Afterwards I stopped by the Winnipeg Fringe Festival -- not to see any plays, but to find the booth run by
eastpath's fiance, since she'd sent something along with him to give to me. Turns out it was a little bag full of sand from a beach they regularly go to. :-) Thank you, EP! It's lovely, and I now have a new incense burner to use it in...
... all my stuff from the pottery class that we glazed last week came out of the kiln just fine, including the one thing I've managed to throw on the wheel all session: a little bowl with a fire motif inside and smokey color on the outside, made for holding/burning incense on the later.
eastpath's sand should fill it nicely.
Didn't get a chance to drop off nuts for the squirrel: there were lots of people in the little park, and I didn't feel comfortable crawling around under the trees and dumping peanuts with so many eyes on me. I'll try again next week.
Talked with George last night about not renewing our lease, and we've been having second thoughts. Neither of us has a traditional full-time job, and we still haven't done our taxes for the last two years, which might make proving our income to prospective landlords a real problem. We're seriously considering just staying put for the moment -- not a thought that makes me happy, but it WOULD get me out of the horrible task of packing everything up and moving it. We'll have to make a decision in the next couple of days, though. Gah! Stress!
Pressure on many different sides. More later.
