George and I just finished the "corrections" on The-Story-That-Shall-No-Longer-Be-Named, as requested by the writer/art director. This is how we currently feel:

He's taken a unified story that WORKED in the color and turned it into a nightmare of imbalance and clashing themes. And the notes he sent us? Hideously misspelled, with grammatical errors throughout. This guy couldn't find his own ass with a flashlight and a road map -- and he's insisted that we disfigure some excellent work on our parts. Well, we've given him what he wants... and taken our names off the coloring credit. He'll be getting our bill in the morning ($25/page on six pages). The sour taste is both intense and disheartening.
Heh. Well, at least you got a cute kitty graphic out of it.
