As in, adjusting the levels on the Uncanny X-Men reference pages I've been sent to take out the yellow of age, then pasting those adjusted images into the partial flats I've laid in order to have accurate guides for reproducing the "cut film" look of the originals.
I've ref-pasted all 52 pages and laid detailed flats on 5 of them so far. However, I'm really starting to regret doing so well on the complicated trial pages the editor sent me -- because clearly I've been tagged as one of the people who can translate very detailed colors, still for $20 US per page. *insert random growling noise here*
It all has to be done by Monday, in spite of the delays caused at their end regarding the FTP server access. And I can only work 12 hours at a time, because George also has a color project on the go and we're split-shifting on the G4. If things start to get insanely pressured, I'm going to have to negotiate for more time on the computer just to wrap things up. It's vitally important that I don't miss the deadline, especially since this is my first assignment for Marvel.
What this translates to on the fannish front is probably no DegSep chat (at least, nothing longer than 15-30 minutes) until this job is wrapped. *more growling sounds*
I'm already starting to get thoroughly sick of the X-Men. But I still like Banshee.

I'm in my happy place... I'm in my happy place... I'm in my happy place... :-D
Seriously, though, that's good advice. 1) Remember to breathe when the stress gets too pressing, because shallow breathing contributes to the feeling of OMGAAARRGGGHHHH! 2) Keep a positive attitude. :-)
