The Big Push, Part II

Today's the day I need to wrap up the middle section of the latest HB graphic novel. It looks gorgeous, if I do say so myself. I should get it all done by this evening.

I have no idea what I'm going to do for my Project 365 photo today. In an hour or so I'll start snooping around the house looking for something interesting to take a picture of.

An episode of Fantasy Island is playing on the studio TV. I used to be such a HUGE fan of the show when I was a kid, and it's SO cheesy now that I'm looking at it from the perspective of someone on the wrong side of 40 who's been working in the entertainment industry for over a decade. But it still pleases me.

Whew... another phase of the marathon is run

I just wrapped up the middle third of the latest HB graphic novel. Whew! It always feels a little bit like running a marathon -- energy levels and interest in the project rise and fall, and at the end of it I collapse and lie there panting for a little while before staggaring to my feet and setting off on another 28 laps.

But it does look gorgeous. I had to do a lava river in this issue and found a texture and a lighting effect that worked perfectly. Sometimes it's the small victories that matter.

I'm going to potter around on the Internet for a while and then fall into bed, to rise and attack the track again tomorrow.

EDITED TO ADD: I just tracked the FedEx envelope that's taking George's proof of Canadian citizenship to his publisher in France. We mailed it on Thursday, and it was in Paris late Friday evening. This means it will probably be delivered to his publisher later today (Monday). Wahoo! We might actually FINALLY get paid for the French job!
