At the last Full Moon ritual, I did a spell to help the HB graphic novel cheque come to me faster:
"Money, money, come to me,
As I will, so mote it be!"
That cheque hasn't arrived, but other things have happened. For one thing, a royalty cheque from DC Comics showed up for George which allowed us to pay our rent and insurance this month. Then today, when I expected to be shelling out $155 to MTS Internet, I got a pleasant surprise when I phoned them to check our account number (since they're changing their billing system this month): according to their system, we only owe $98 on the internet, and that can wait to be paid for at least another couple of weeks. Also today, the rebate cheque for our Canon printer (which we purchased using my mom's credit card) came to my mother, who needs to borrow money from us -- we told her to keep the cheque and cash it (since it's in her name anyway) and count it toward the $300 we were going to loan her this month.
So money HAS come to us by unexpected routes. Still no sign of the HB cheque, though, and I haven't heard back from my editor yet about FedExing a replacement.
As for today... I slept in until 2 pm, because I was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. I feel a bit better now that I've had some caffieine and done a bit of grocery shopping at the local Foodfare. Now comes the big task -- the remainder of the TFTC story, and the trick of turning 12 pages around by tomorrow. Fortunately George is a bit ahead on his own deadlines and has offered to give me a hand this evening after he wakes up (he's working nights).
That's an awful lot of parenthetical references in one post, isn't it? I'll leave you with an image of the yumminess that we'll be having for supper tonight: M&M Meat Shops Seasoned Stuffed Turkey Breast:

Doesn't it look wonderful?
