How do you make a terrible fanfic into a good one?

The answer is deceptively simple: Make a movie out of it!

Before you break that camera out and run to Hobby Lobby to make some wizard robes, be advised that going that route will not work and is in fact the exact opposite of making a bad fanfic good. A good way to do it is to run the fanfic through a voice synthesizer. That's a very good start, but that does not make a movie. There's a bunch of graphics you have to worry about, but I'm sure that your vision of the fanfic can be emulated perfectly through Photoshop and MS Paint.

It's a video kind of day

Harvey Birdman is a hilarious animated series that got far too little airtime. Based (sort of) on the classic 1960s-era animated series Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, it follows the adventures of Harvey Birdman, Attorney-at-Law, as he takes on cases involving other animated characters.

This episode, the second in the series, features Reducto (voiced by Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report). I so badly want a "Shrink Gun!" t-shirt...

What put me in mind of him is that I recently downloaded some tracks from Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of "The War of the Worlds", which features narration by Richard Burton -- and George and I agreed that if there was ever a human equivalent to Micawber, it was Richard Burton.
