Shopping. Gah.

Yesterday I went shopping. Yes, at a major mall (St. Vital Shopping Centre, for those of you in Winnipeg). Yes, only a few days before Christmas.

It wasn't quite the soul-harrowing experience I expected, but still more crowded and hectic than I would have preferred. However, I did find a gift for our caretaker (a Hickory Farms gift box), as well as presents for several other people and a whole bunch of Christmas cards on sale. By the time I got home I was exhausted but fairly pleased with the amount of work I'd gotten done in a relatively short space of time.

I also stopped at Radiance Gifts beforehand and picked up this statue. Isn't it gorgeous? Thanks to Terri for the gift certificate that made it possible! :-)

I had a bit of a delayed-reaction panic attack after I got home, and ended up taking a tranquillizer so I could sleep. So I'm feeling a bit dragged out today in consequence. But the FASD comic waits for no man, and I've got to get painting. Wish me luck.

Over and out

Hardy got any work done today. The tranquillizer from last night is dragging at me, and I've got a pretty heavy baseline of depression. My temper is on a hair trigger and the urge to cut is very strong.

I did exercise, though.

I think I'm going to go to bed early and take another kick at the can tomorrow morning, after the tranquillizer has mostly worn off. Hopefully I won't have to take another one tonight in order to sleep.
