Heh. Just got up, and having the first cup of coffee of the day, when I realize: Hey, isn't the Witches Meetup tonight?

And damned if it isn't.

D'oh! If I'd remembered that yesterday, I wouldn't have pissed away so much time when I could have been working.

Thanks to everyone who posted encouraging comments regarding my last post. I'm still feeling rough, but at least my pain is primarily emotional. George, on the other hand, has a nasty case of bronchitis developing, and is still in bed sound asleep.

Off to work on Hardy Boys.

Went downtown a bit early and picked up gifts for [livejournal.com profile] beckyh2112, [livejournal.com profile] dark_puck, [livejournal.com profile] matrixrefugee, and [livejournal.com profile] nightdog_barks, all good solid Canadian presents from The Bay, which is a Canadian institution if ever there was one. Perhaps I'll get them all mailed tomorrow, along with [livejournal.com profile] eastpath's, on my way home from the doctor's appointment in the morning. Gaahhhh... I have to catch the bus for THAT at 9:20 am, which is way too early for my tastes.

So after shopping I go to the Second Cup on Graham Avenue, pick a table, set up my little "Witches Meetup" sign, and get myself a cup of coffee. And who should approach me but a freelance writer who's done work for CBC and the Winnipeg Free Press, interested in doing a story about witches in Winnipeg. He gave me his card and I gave him my phone number and email address -- it would be nice if we can get something going, I think.

Eight people in total showed up for the Meetup, and much good chat was had by all. I ended up leaving a bit early because of ongoing fluishness, but they were still going great guns when I left, so it's all good. Kathy gave me a LOVELY set of presents: a "Welcome" sign for our door with a sun motif, a gorgeous little "sleeping cat" figurine, and two coasters in a Wiccan theme, plus a pretty sun-and-moon patterned box to put them in. Squeeeee! *beams*

Now the question presents itself: go to bed now, or stay up and work all night? Decisions, decisions...
