Looks like we'll be getting paid for the GG stuff next week. That's a relief... now we just have to wonder what day it will be!
On another positive note, I got a link to the House of Netjer site, created by a church of the Kemetic Orthodox faith. Kemeticism is a reconstructionist religion that attempts to recreate the practices of ancient Egypt, and the House of Netjer maintains some permanent shrines to various Gods and Goddesses. and they've created a permanent shrine to Bast (a most adorable Goddess, IMHO).
The results of the church's hard work are truly impressive! My favorite shots:
Hemet (AUS) fills the fountain while Beni helps clear out the filter. (Gives scale and context to the photos that follow)

Bast's icon is placed before the fountain as the offerings arrive.

The flagstones of the fountain have become an abundant offering table for the great goddess Bast.

Kai-Imakhu Antybast elevates the icon to its place.

Bast's shrine is now open! Dua Bast! Nekhtet!

The Lady without Whom none of this would have been possible. We give great thanks to the goddess Bast and hope that She enjoys Her shrine.

It's wonderful to see such terrific religious work in the Pagan faiths. A similar undertaking (though not created by Pagans for Pagan worship, as far as I can tell) is the Athena Project, in which a 42 foot tall statue of the Goddess Athena was painted and gilded (yes, with real gold) . You can see the results at

which also contains a photo essay of the entire project week by week. I'm sure many Pagans have, and will, find this a suitable focus for their adoration if Athena is one of their patrons.
