The vet came. I was wrong about the cost of the meds -- it's only $27. *beams* A few drops mixed in with some wet tuna and Emmie just yummed it right up... she also showed off for the vet by going for a bit of a scamper after eating her food, putting on quite a turn of speed. The vet showed me how to properly measure out the medication, and instructed me to administer it in food once a day, then call him in a week to see how she's doing. In a couple of days the limp should be much better.
I went to bed at 9 pm last night and ended up sleeping all day today anyway. >.< I'm starting to wonder if there isn't something organically wrong with me aside from brain chemistry.
Aannnnd... Emmie just threw up the tuna, ten minutes after the vet left. Bugger. Time to put a call in to the vet and see what he has to say about that development.
Looks like I'll have to wait for the callback. I wanted to get out to the bank and pay that bill today while it's still light... of which there is about two good hours left.
ETA: The vet called back maybe ten minutes later (what is it with 10s today?) and instructed me to try her on the meds again tomorrow at a lower dose in a regular canned cat food. Maybe then she won't yuck it right back up.
Poor little girl. *pets Emmie*
A quick clean-up and I guess I'm out the door. Part of me cringes at the thought of leaving the house; it wants to crawl back into bed and sleep for as long as it can. Another part of me (much bigger today than in the past week or so) is looking forward to getting out and doing things.

Hugs!
Glad Emmie is doing better!!
Just taking a really quick minute out of my studies to see how you and Emmie are doing. I'm glad that Emmie is going to be fine, and that you finally got out to pay that bill!
I'd love to do coffee with you sometime soon... I don't want to let the months roll by again without even a quick hello.
Reviews for finals start sometime next week in most of my courses - can't believe another semester has rolled by. =)
Hope to hear from you soon... say hi to George too please.
