Back from gaming. My paladin spared the life of an enemy warrior and is giving him a chance to help our party out and turn his life around. *thumps head on table* Bloody paladins...

Posting my last entry was very hard, but it seemed to drain off some of the poison. I feel a little better now.

The Yuurei are the lost souls of those whose lives were abruptly ended in the midst of great distress or emotion. They are pale, white spectres nearly indistinguishable from humans, except that they possess no legs, indicative of their detachment from the earthly world. Yuurei haunt the place of their deaths, waiting for the opportunity to fulfil some incomplete purpose. Yuurei are more commonly female than male, victims of male cruelty or neglect. Obake-Yuurei, instead of restricting their passions to reasonable limits, are wont to loose their rage and sorrow on any people who happen to be unlucky enough to pass by.

And I don't think you're a Yuurei ... I don't think you're a demon at all. If you're anything Japanese, you're a fox messenger from Inari.

We learned about S/He in Japan ... the Janus-faced Japanese harvest god/ess of the New Year ... hir servants and messengers take the form of white foxes, and sometimes are wise tricksters, like Coyote.

Glad to hear you're doing better. I'll admit that entry was really hard for me to read, but I know from experience that sometimes you have to post about the bad stuff to get it out of your system.

I don't know much about Japanese legends (or as much as I should), but if there's any legendary critter that I see you as, you're definately a kitsune.
