Just got back from a minor shopping expedition: first to Radiance, where I purchased some incense for the Earth Spirit Festival on Saturday and a couple of pieces of jewelery (a lovely expensive cat brooch for my mother and an inexpensive green jewelled necklace for myself). Also, a beeswax votive to burn for
ravyne_hawke's healing request for her brother's girlfriend over in Germany.
Then to ArtAsia, a local store specializing in Asian imports, where I purchased some more stick incense and a medium-sized thick bowl with sand to burn them in (yes, I DO need another incense bowl, lol -- I have a little stone holder and a largish iron cauldron, and nothing in between in terms of size).
Altogether I spent about $100, not counting the groceries I purchased on my way home. Woof! 0.o But that's a present for my mother out of the way, and she's notoriously hard to shop for, so I can hold it in reserve for Christmas.
I'm feeling a little bit better today than I have the last few days, as evidenced by the fact that when I got home from doing all of that I took a half hour or so and did a mock altar set-up, so I'll know what I'm doing on Saturday, then packed up the big bag that I'll need to take. I have to wash two altar cloths, but that can be done another day..
And I still feel like I have energy to lay flats tonight. :-) Actually, that's a great improvement over yesterday or the day before. THANK YOU as always to the wonderful people who took time to send me words of encouragement and kind thoughts; it DOES help, even if I don't have the energy or the will to post back to you at that moment.
