Just got back from the Witches Meetup -- what a wonderful evening! Eleven people showed up, and we talked about a wide range of topics, from how to make wands to trance state induction to why people choose to worship skyclad. Now all I have to do is transfer the meeting minutes from my laptop and post them to the [livejournal.com profile] winnipegpagans LJ community...

And when I returned home, I discovered that George had been busy: he'd hooked up our new machine, the 6500/225 we picked up for $5 at a garage sale, and discovered that it works perfectly and DOES, indeed, have a killer sound system. I'm listening to it right now, in fact, belting out "You Think You're A Man" by Divine with plenty of ooomph from the subwoofer built into the casing. It runs Mac OS 8.6, has a load of applications already installed (including Photoshop 3.0 and a bunch of HTML editting apps), but alas, only 64 MB of RAM. And since opening up the case on a 6500/225 practically requires its own university degree (not to mention a special screwdriver), it doesn't look like we'll be beefing it up anytime soon. Still, it works, and has some lovely desktop pictures as well. Woot!

The real bright spot to the day was finding a cheque in the mailbox from Papercutz for $3360 US for the Hardy Boys I finished a couple of weeks ago. *whew*

Plus today I'm actually feeling like a human being. What a change from yesterday... I missed a dose of Effexor the night before the crash, which might have had something to do with it.

Ack! I've heard effexor is one of the worst for withdrawl. I wouldn't know yet as I have not missed a dose..... yet. I'm pretty into my routines so If I can work something into it, it's almost guarenteed to get done. Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Alot of those OEM cases can be like a rubiks cube to figure out sometimes. I guess it keeps you having to pay them to upgrade for you.

**HISSSSSSS** Effexor withdrawl.. **HISSSSSSSSS**

I've done that with Paxil. Miss one day and I start acting a bit weird. I usually notice when the anxiety hits like a load of cybernetic horses.... Glad you're feeling better, tho :-) . Yaaay!
