Actually got out today and walked several blocks. Picked up some groceries, including pumpernickel bread (low in carbs and surprisingly tasty) and frozen pizzas from Food Fare, and two half Cornish game hens with raspberry glaze from Gluttons.

The urge to blow the hell out of my diet is still present, but I've been good today and ate at Subway for "breakfast" (at around 5 pm).

Also, called around to various department stores pricing out portable air conditioners. Heh. I must be feeling at least a bit better. Yesterday, the mere thought of doing so would have reduced me to incoherent tears.

Think I'll break out that low-fat lemon muffin I bought at Starbucks and break my diet just a little...

I saw a portable A/C at Wal Mart a couple weeks ago for around 500.00$..that was the cheapest one i saw that wasn't a window unit.

Arghhhh!
I envy you being able to walk to these wonderful places! Winnipeg sounds so cool ...

Regarding a/c -- (is afraid this sounds like a horribly ignorant question) do you have Home Depot stores there? They usually have reasonably-priced air conditioners. Sears does also.

You sound much better ...
:-)

::Smiling:: Glad to hear you're doing better! Wish I could have been able to offer some words of support, but I've been a bit under the weather myself... just remember, even if I may not express it openly, I'm always sending thoughts and prayers of support, out to you...

Yes we do. I checked at those and they were very expensive (ie 900.00 bucks), but they could have come down in price since.
