Finally, the box

I finally managed to meet up with Eastpath, who gave me the box she's been angling to get to me for a few days now. Inside: CANDLES! Lots and lots of them, in all different colors. I now have all the quarter candles I'll need for ritual for quite a while, as well as candles to use for specific spells and to provide to others who happen to need them. Thank you, EP! I'll give them a good home, I promise.

Went to a 15-minute diabetes mini-clinic at the local Pharma Plus drug store, where a technician took my blood sugar level (10.5 thirty minutes after eating a small apple) and answered some of my questions about diet, including the fact that yes, fibre trades out gram-for-gram with carbohydrates. (Gotta fire up my own testing monitor again... but, I'm handling what I can as best I can day to day, so I'm trying not to be too hard on myself about not getting things done immediately.) Also picked up 10 cans of tuna at 69 cents a can. Mmmmm, tuna...

Just finished another page of Girl Genius, which leaves only four pages to go on the issue. *sigh of relief* Tonight I think I'll take it easy and just lay flats on the remaining pages.
