I just found this letter in my Yahoo! mail account and I thought it was worth passing on, since the person sending it was polite enough to write in the first place...

Dear Ms Smith:
You donít know me, but Iím writing to you because I found your Fellowship of Bastet Yahoo Group listing on Witchvox and realized that you must be a very active member of the Winnipeg Pagan Community.
I have produced a Pagan date book for next year (entitled Celebrations - a Pagan Date Book for 2005) and I was hoping that you could help me to get the word out about it in your Community. Would you be willing to send out a notice for me, or may I join your group and post my own message? Do you mind posting it to other lists you might be on?
I spent the better part of two years working on this, and I would like it to be a success - getting the word out about it is part of that process, and I hope you will help me. I did not want to infiltrate your e-mail list to send out the notice because I think thatís immoral and I donít want to spam anybody.
The date book lists dates sacred to the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Hindu, Celts, Japanese, Slavs and many many others. It also features original artwork and poetry, write-ups on some of the more interesting festivals, Moon phases, monthly correspondences, historical and agricultural information and a detailed appendix. It is similar in size to the Llewellyn date books, 200 pages, spiral bound and it will cost $17.00 Canadian (plus shipping). You can see sample pages on the website:
http://www.geocities.com/celebrations2005
and people can order copies directly from there.
Please let me know if youíre willing to help.
Thanks, and Nameste!

I can't vouch for the product itself, having not seen it, but feel free to check it out. :-) And hey, it's a Canadian product! Go Canada!
