The Good News: I got a call from the Grace Hospital today with the results of my Sestamibi test -- all perfectly normal. My heart is functioning properly.

The Bad News: My dentist found that my left lower wisdom tooth is in shattered pieces, and thinks that the nerve in my upper left jaw is infected. So I now have an antibiotic to take as well as more T3s, and an appointment with an oral surgeon to have the wisdom tooth removed in my near future.

The Good News: The dentist visit only cost $54.

The Bad News: The wisdom tooth extraction is going to cost somewhere around $200.

The Good News: My Sestamibi test came back normal. Yes, so great that I had to say it twice.

The Bad News: I have to get a full teeth cleaning before I can have the oral surgery, to the tune of about $50.

The Good News: My jaw isn't hurting too badly today, so maybe I can get away without the T3s, which are doing nasty things to my GI tract.

The Bad News: The negative Sestamibi test doesn't mean I'm out of the woods yet. The cardiologist might decide to order an angiogram. *shudder*

Wow... you're getting a good deal if it's only going to cost you $50 for a cleaning. Do you have dental insurance?

My non-wisdom tooth extraction cost around or a little bit more than that... at least it's only $200. It costs over $1000 for a root canal. Which when offered to me over my broken tooth, I just had the tooth pulled... there was no way I could afford that any time ever... lol

Yay about the heart news! *HUGS*

Ooof. I've been quiet, but... it does seem that for every bit of good news, your body sends another emergency your way. Here's wishing this will end soon, and trying to send healing vibes.

Sorry to hear about the bad stuff. :(
May I ask where you go to the dentist, mine charges over 100 for cleanings.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted at the same time around 20 years ago, as the last phase of orthodontic treatments. My orthodontists had been straightening my teeth over the course of three years, and he didn't want erratically emerging wisdom teeth to mess up his job. An oral surgeon removed the teeth while I was under general anesthesia, and I later learned that he had to cut open the gum to shatter one of my teeth and take it out in pieces, because it was lying on its side rather than sitting up straight. As per standard procedure, someone had to help get me home afterward (my then boyfriend, now husband), and I was given a prescription for T3s for the pain. I was miserable for the next several days because the T3s made me nauseas when they were working, and I was in pain when they wore off. So I deeply empathize with what you're going through.
