I found the whole idea of the open-source boob project very offensive, too, so you're not the only one. And when I took the Wen-do course, I remember feeling like my personal space was half a block wide for a while. If any man even looked at me funny, I would have been ready to crack his shin or collarbone or both. Even now, years after I took the course, if some guy I didn't know or only peripherally knew asked if he could touch my boobs, my answer would probably be "Can I break your face?!" The course is designed to make you hyper-aware of any attempts to invade your personal space, and this so-called project is suggesting that any man at a sci-fi convention be allowed to invade the personal space of any woman they choose. No wonder your hackles are up.
