For all the idiots I saw today...
#1 - To The Moron Who Rode His Bicycle VERY Slowly In The Bus Lane:
There are any number of side streets you could have taken. You didn't need to clog up the lane, making my bus later and later and later.
Idiot!
#2 - To The Jerk Who Hawked Up Spit And Spat It Out Onto The Sidewalk:
You are SO lucky I didn't have a baseball bat, because I would have whipped it out and kneecapped you, you filthy git. Why is it always men who have an overwhelming need to perform this particularly disgusting action?
Idiot!!
#3 - To The Airheads Who Stood In The Exit Well Of The Bus And Chatted, Forcing People To Squeeze Past Them In Order To Exit The Bus:
The rear exit well of the bus is exactly that -- an EXIT. It is NOT there just so that you can step to one side, out of the aisle, and stand there nattering away while the rest of us have to shoulder our way past you, muttering "Excuse me", when what we really want to say is "Fuck you!"
IDIOTS!!!
Okay, now that that's out of my system...
Today I went with my mother to the hospital while she had a PICC line inserted into her right arm. I sat with her during the procedure (fortunately on the opposite side from the arm where the action was taking place, since there was quite a bit of blood and the sight of human blood makes me squeamish when it's accompanied by threading a tube into a vein), went with her for lunch afterwards, then went shopping with her at Safeway. Her energy levels are really good these days -- she got through all of that and was only a little bit tired!
At Safeway I found sirloin steaks on sale for an excellent price: regular $22 for 3 pounds, on for $12. And they were nice plump red steaks, very fresh. I got two flats of them, and we'll be having some for dinner tonight.
Tomorrow we take my mother out to Tavern in the Park, the restaurant at the Assinboine Park Pavilion. It's got a gorgeous interior with a glass ceiling, terrific food, and my mother absolutely loves it, so we're very happy that she's feeling well enough to go. On Sunday she'll be coming by for a visit to see her cat, Mina. (Gah! We actually have to clean up the apartment!!!)
Time to go do some more MM, and then I'll make dinner. I was up at 7 am, so I'm not sure if I'll be up to doing much after we've eaten.
