Starting the final colors on the Kirby The Eternals pages for Marvel Masterworks. Mood is up and down. So is the blood sugar. Not good.

The money order I was sent as a refund for a purchase on eBay where the seller put up the wrong image (d'oh!) turns out to be "Negotiable only in the US and its possessions", and says so in large letters right there on the front. *headdesk* Canada is NOT a US possession! Unfortunately, the post office told me the bank could cash it, so when I went to the bank I endorsed it before handing it across the counter -- only to discover that it could NOT be cashed at a bank. *more headdesk* Cross out signature, initial change, hope that this will be sufficient to allow the person who sent it to me to cash it again when I send it back.

Minor headaches aside, life is proceeding apace.

I've just discovered the wonders of eBay, and now you're scaring me!

Stuff like this is rare (only happened to me once in about 100 transactions). It's always a good idea to ask ahead if there's likely to be any problems when you and the seller are in different countries, though. This particular case strikes me as all too typical American myopia, nothing more.

I generally only pay through PayPal, which does make incidents like this one a lot easier to smooth out if something does go wrong.
