Picked up all that incense I recently arranged to buy from a local dealer. WOW! An ounce is a LOT more than I expected, especially in the frankincense and copal! This will keep me going for a VERY long time, and the blackberry port Kyphi smells utterly delicious. I'll lobby with the gang to use some in our Imbolc ritual tomorrow, since Imbolc is associated with the goddess Brigid and blackberries are one of her correspondences.

I'd forgotten what a kind, nice person said dealer was (the last time I saw him was almost a decade ago). I suggested to him that my husband and I might want to get together with him and his partner for coffee sometime -- perhaps to pick up a copy of the panpipes CD he's going to be releasing come March or April. He actually played for me while I was there, and it was just lovely.

Then out for lunch and on a shopping trip to Zellers with Terri, who as usual was very good about letting me use her car to haul home huge amounts of groceries. Got insane amounts of Folgers coffee on sale as well as some storage containers for all the incense I just picked up. Also picked up four small bags of Frito Lay pork rinds, because they have pretty much zero carbs. However... well, let me put it this way: "epidermis puffs" is what they are, and that's what they taste like too. :-P They're one of the strangest taste experiences I've ever had; it took me a good five minutes of eating them to decide that in fact, no, I did not actually like them. Now I have to find someone who DOES like them to take them off my hands...

Terri was also nice enough to go through the Full Moon Fundraising box and take some items, leaving a contribution. Thanks, Terri! :-)

I got home just in time to take a call from [livejournal.com profile] he_dreams_awake, which turned out to be a lovely conversation. We'll be talking again next Sunday, although I'll have to ask him to shift the call back about 30 minutes (to 5 pm) because my GM wants to game a half an hour earlier than usual. I signed off with him, whipped on my coat, and dashed out to dinner with the AD&D gaming group (pizza, mmmm, pizza), followed by an all-evening game session at Jeff's place.

Not a bad day all in all, but I am nonetheless quite tired and more than a little depressed. Hormones, I suppose. Hopefully I'll be feeling a bit better tomorrow for the ritual.

A good Imbolc ritual this afternoon -- the energies were quiet, but effective. [livejournal.com profile] diamond_lies composed a fine ceremony and it was carried out with great sincerity by all concerned. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] scorpio16's kind willingness to stop by a grocery store and pick up two roasted chickens for me (as well as some evaporated milk and buns), I was able to catch up on a badly lapsed schedule this morning and was ready to welcome people when they showed up on my doorstep. She also bought some lovely flowers for the altar, which, after everyone had left, I gathered up and divided into two batches. The first, smaller batch I set aside to dry, to make a Brigid Creativity mix of petals to be burned or included in amulets and charms; I'll be offering it to folks at the Full Moon ritual next Saturday. The second, larger batch I tossed into a nice hot bath and lay back in, soaking up the residual energy from the rite. Hope nobody minds. ^_^ It just struck me as a better use for them then throwing them straight into the garbage, though once I was done with them they were bundled up and disposed of anyway.

I might get around to doing some color holds on Joe in the Future tonight, since tomorrow I should get the FTP access info from Marvel and then it'll be right into the Uncanny X-Men recolor job. *taps into some of that creative power we were raising today and prepares to get down to work*
