Gah. Daniel uploaded all of his Hardy Boys pages but one, and I've got the 6-page preview for the next issue. This puts me squarely behind the eightball.

*shudder, shiver, sigh*

I'll have to email the editor tomorrow and inform him that my goal is to get the issue finished by next Monday. He's probably going to scream bloody blue murder, but I'll let him know that the flu seriously impacted my work schedule over Christmas and hopefully that will ameliorate his rage somewhat.

*shudder, take tranquillizer, curl up into a little ball*

Guess I'll try to get a few hours -- and ONLY a few hours -- of good sleep before taking another tilt at the windmill.

Someone remind Daniel that you are a HUMAN BEING with physical and emotional limits which can be exceeded through excessive pressure applied by internal and external forces. He is one of the latter and he should back off. How would he like it if he was feeling lousy and someone was breathing fire down his neck? I bet he'd feel really annoyed and put-upon, so why is he making a good, decent, hard-working person like you go through something he wouldn't want?!

Let him scream all he wants, if he's gonna be a big baby about it; sometimes you have to do that with babies, let them cry it out. You have to take care of yourself, and if he can't understand that, his membership in the human race needs to be revoked and he should find himself another species to enroll with.

*hugs* Thanks for being in my corner. :-)

My editor's name is Jim, BTW. And I just got another email from him saying "some stuff that should have been up to FTP week ago wasn't, but it's up now -- can you finish the issue by Friday?" Our emails must have crossed, because I'd just sent him one telling him I could have the issue done by next Wednesday.

::Headdesk:: Whoops! what comes of reading my friendslist in the morning when I haven't had my green tea yet.

Thanks for the lovely Christmas present! I hung the little windchime ornament on my Christmas tree, my mom loved the magnet, and I'm going to wear the scarf to work, since it gets pretty drafty at the front end of the store.

Glad you liked the presents. :-) I hoped you'd find the scarf both beautiful and useful... all my Stateside friends got Canada-themed gifts this year!
