Beef stew. I don't think I've ever made it from scratch before. But the bacon and beef have been browned, the water/lemon juice/HP sauce/sugar/salt/pepper/bay leaves have been added, and it's got to simmer for 2 hours before I add the veggies, cook it for another 30 minutes, and see if it flies or flops. If it's any good, I'll post the recipe, which is a modification of one I found on the Internet.

Remember that Kathy Smith step training DVD I ordered off of eBay, only to find one locally, which I bought? Well, it's a good thing I did buy it, because when I opened the DVD I received in the mail I discovered that it is, in fact, NOT a step training video, but a DVD called "Making Beats" from "The DJ/Producer Series". Yes, it's about how to make drum beats using various pieces of equipment. And somewhere, a person named Brynn Bradley has discovered a Kathy Smith workout video in his mailbox...

*sigh*

So, on Monday I will call Lasercorner (the company that sold me the DVD) to complain. Hopefully I can get credit toward the purchase of a different DVD from them -- they DO have the Educational Archives series, including "Social Engineering 101", which I've been hankering after for quite some time.

Mmmm... I'm not a red meat-eater, but that beef stew sounds yummy! (Or it could just mean I'm hungry after a long night of inventory...)

Mm, God, home-made beef stew with BACON. *dies.*

My heart-stopping dinner tonight was Top Ramen.

Anyway, if you don't send back that nifty drum beat DVD, send it my way! *laughs.* I played for years, that and guitar, and I improvise stuff on so much random crap here it drives Trin nuts. Hee.

Laurie.. sounds like a killer stew! Adding white kidney beans is also a cool thing, though with my side of the family, it's dreaded as the the power behind the Farts of DOOOOOOOOOOM. Errr... My dad's fats of doom :-D . The kind of fats that peel wallpaper and kill flies.
