Okay, I couldn't figure out a subject header. So sue me.

After last night's Seroquel/tranquillizer double header, I dragged myself out of bed barely in time to catch the bus to the hospital to see my psychiatrist. As it was, I didn't end up taking the bus at all -- when I realized that I was diligently searching the studio for a box-cutter to take with me to the hospital, I decided that no, really, I wasn't safe to go out on my own. So I woke up George (who fortunately had gotten in several hours of sleep after a late night) and together we took a cab to see my doctor, who listened to my tales of exercise and PMS, nodded sagely, wrote me another sick note for Ipsos-Reid (this one until the middle of February), and said that my idea of volunteering 3 days a week at Quagga for a month or so before considering going back to IR is a good idea.

Afterwards George and I stopped at a downtown used book store and picked up a couple of books ("Day of the Triffids" for him and "The Secret Life of J. Edgar Hoover" for me) as well as 2 CDs (music from the motion picture "Chigago" and "Boney M. Gold: 20 Super Hits"), then had lunch at the Fyxx Cafe before going to pick up some photos at Shoppers Drug Mart (I'll post those later today) and do a bit of grocery shopping at the Bay. In other words, what started out as a day where I seriously intended to hurt myself turned out not too badly, with the help of my dear husband's company and another tranquillizer. I still have to do my exercise for today *sigh*, but I think I'll get through it okay.

Right. Off to process photographs for later posting.
