Still up. Shared a nice hot bathtub with George and got all soapy. That helped the cramps and improved my mood a little. ;-)
Just watched the concluding episode of that Trading Spouses two-parter where a New Age mom and a Christian mom switched families for a week.
Oh. My. Fucking. GOD.
That's a whole NEW level of crazy, that is... at least the New Age mom seemed to be warm and thoughtful and to give a damn about the kids (both hers and the other woman's). The Christian mom, on the other hand, was freaking so hard on being a "God warrior" and all holier-than-thou that she couldn't even be bothered to hug her own children after being away from them for a week. Instead she went into an hysterical, screaming, ripping-things-apart temper tantrum that must have lasted two or three minutes, all because she encountered OHNOES!111!PEPLEWHOBELEEVEDIFRENTLY!!111! Scared the hell out of her own kids, she did. Truly horrific.
Yeah, the "dark side" New Agers are the dangerous ones in this picture. *snort* What's sad is that I could see the Christian mom driving her kids further and further away from Christianity with every poisoned word that spilled from her mouth.
AND she ended up taking the $50,000 anyway, even after tearing up the letter containing the cheque and a note from the New Age mom because it was "satanic". Hysterical? Yeah. Hypocritical? HELL, yeah.
ETA: Let me be perfectly clear. This woman is a nutjob, and would be an asshole no matter WHAT religion she happened to follow. I think it was just Christianity's profound misfortune to end up with her on THEIR team as a poster child for ignorant extremism.
