My mother is gone

She's gone. George was with her, and she passed away between one breath and the next.

I'm on my way to the hospital now.

It was as simple as that.

Fortunately she was only in pain for a very short period of time in the grand scheme of things.

I'll try to call you this weekend (my brain is mush and I tend to forget things lately); perhaps we can get together for coffee.
