Laurie, I am so sorry for your loss. However, I am glad that George was with her, and that she passed peacefully. I have to share this with you. As you can see, this post is made at 420 pm CST. Sometime during the night, I half awoke and **knew** your mom was passing, or would pass this very night. I knew to the depths of my soul. I then felt an overwhelming peace come upon me, and felt her passing as peaceful.
I got up at after four this morning and **had** to check this blog to see the news, to see if your mom had crossed over. I am glad it was peaceful, and her suffering was not prolonged.

:: Big hug:: Sorry to hear you lost someone that you loved so dearly. You're in my prayers, that you'll have the strength to get through this dark stretch on the road, and that your mom's soul will find her place on the other side.
I'm so sorry for your loss. At times like this the only thing that you can try and remember is that she is now in a place where pain doesn't exist and she is free of the physical constraints that the cancer was causing her.
She will continue to live on in you and the people she touched throughout her life and they will be forever grateful to have had her in their lives.
Laurie, you have my deepest condolences. I know how numb you are feeling right now. Been there and done that myself just eight months ago. When it finally sinks in, as hard as it will be, please take some consolation in the knowledge that she died peacefully, without pain, and knowing that she was loved.
