Fortunately Mina did not suffer with it. She was robustly healthy up until a couple of days ago and went downhill very quickly; the vet assured us that she wasn't in pain, just very very tired.
All in all, as deaths go, hers was a good death -- and a good life, full of happiness and fun and love and cuddles. It's just that we miss her so, and it hurts terribly.
