The article is several years -- hell, nearly two decades, now -- old and the demographics of the Asatru/Heathen community has changed. As a basic "ahh, that's why", though, it still holds some merit. Best thing to do (especially if joining mailing lists or communities) is to lurk a bit and see what brings out the 'aggressive' comments.
