So. I didn't.
I ended up not staying up working all last night. Instead I sent my editor an email explaining that I simply couldn't hit the deadline and went to bed. This morning I received an email from him saying that they were planning to work through the weekend on the book anyway and not to worry about it. I am SO lucky to have such an understanding person supervising one of my projects.
The injection site of my flu shot is a little red and swollen and aches something fierce. I also woke up with a touch of a sore throat this morning. Bleah. Other than that, not much to report -- except that I desperately need at least another two cups of coffee.
