Cancelled appointment

I ended up taking that tranquillizer last night and getting up early today to cancel our appointment with the insurance agent, then crawling back into bed and passing out for another five hours.

Now, up and with a cup of coffee, a ham sandwich, and half a chocolate bar inside me, I contemplate climbing the personal mountain that is 25 minutes of step training.

Good news: the F500 monitor we ordered off of eBay is now in Winnipeg, according to the FedEx tracking service. Bad news: it's freezing rain out there right now. At this rate, we'll pick it up Monday from Pack & Post just up the street and end up skating it home, pushing it down the ice-covered sidewalks.

I would kill for a box of Pot of Gold chocolates right now.

Step training and butterscotch-chocolate sundaes

Step training completed for the day at 5:30 pm. Heart rate at 120 bpm after the 8-minute warm-up, 126 bpm after the 12-minute first segment (which I actually finished today for the first time). Total time: 25 minutes, more or less.

I can't tell whether my cravings are PMS-related or the effect of the exercising. George says he notices I'm moving more easily. At any rate, I just polished off a low-carb vanilla ice cream sundae with sugar-free butterscotch and chocolate toppings, and am about to dig into a small bowl of popcorn.

What can I say? PMS does strange things to me.
